Day 12. Asilah chill out day
No sun on pool area or balcony so set of North of the hotel towards Asilah beach
We walked and walked up past the station, up the road out of down that had all the infrastructure of becoming an upmarket resort.
We had the opinion of booking a hotel for our stay in this area, so glad we didn't as there was very few tourist of any nationality and what had looked a lively beach bar wad now closed
We headed back into town along the empty beach
Taking a break on the steps leading up to another block of holiday apartments that were also closed and looking somewhat deserted.
Eventually we got back to a beach cafe just down from our hotel. The cafe was very much a ricco (paphos Cyprus) style venture. I am sure we walked over heaps of camel dung to get to it. There was somewhat mystery surrounding this as a small caravan of camels could be seen in the distance following us along the beach, but they never made it as far as the field of dung dunes. They seemed to rest in the same place until sunset some hours later. There was definitely not enough people around for them to make any money giving camel rides..
Before getting layered up in glad rags to head back into town.
We wandered along the seafront and then went up behind the Medina where we found a very busy local shopping area. The area was buzzung. May be because it was a bank holiday. Green March Day.
We decided to go back to the le place to eat.
Thus time we sampled the Entrecote which turned out to be a goats steak and Calves Fillet which was excellent. The Moroccan salad and red wine also are highly recommended.
