Day 10 A cloudy day in Tangiers


The season seems to have changed as we came into November. 

Very cloudy day with the chance of a rain and sun minimal.  Another late breakfast.
Decide to complete the train ride to Tangier. 15 minutes walk and 1st class tickets purchased at Station Office. 65MAD

Only a few MAd extra to ride 1st class
First glimpse of the bullet train

Off to the beach - 10 minutes from the station 
Not too cloudy for horses and camels on the beach
Walk to the end of the Marina. Nice restaurants and views of the coastline

Last day of the film festival 
Quite a walk up to the Fort but amazing views
Spotted a red double decker, hop on hop off bus - probably a good way to see Tangiers.Hop on Hop off
Location of magnetic cache found but loads of people around so did not pursue in finding and signing
It's somewhere here..
Down into the medina and was soon at the right location.  
found cache with a little help of shop owner 3 trackables only took 1

By Medina standards this one gets a good review, minimal hassle and room to breathe.
Next stop early dinner strangely enough backwards the same restaurant we had a beer earlier.  This time a bottle of white and seafood paella With a complimentary anchovies and garlic starter.

18.43pm on the train scheduled to leave at 7.10pm .. tired feet..
8pm last spurt of energy for day, walk down the hill to the hotel. Cool blustery evening
Very early night.

10.25am. Little later start after some confusion over time as Fitbit has decided to go back in line with UK time but phone stayed on Moroccan time. Having had a plentiful breakfast we off to find a secret garden. I may or may not tell you about. 11.32am  Interesting morning, we were just stood outside hotel discussing whether to get our passports from reception when we were approached a  Moroccan who was 48 had just become a dad and was an Artist in the market over the road. To his studio he led us from where we learnt that he likes Queen as in my name as well as how to write our names in Arabic and make green tea.  We also have a meaniful painting of an open door, and the painting we helped paint that represents ourselves, the children and grandchildren.
