Day13 One last day in Morroco

As the sun is not warming up very early, we set off into the town
The port area is new, with quite a few boats, showing signs of a lot of future development.
The town beach just a bit further up is deserted, summer has definitely disappeared
Into the medina we go.
Asilah is definitely an arty town
We walk through the wonderfully clean Medina towards the Fort. Pestered only by the same guy with tea paintings on ripped cement bags and his stories of sorrow.
The views over towards the Medina Gof resort are so different from the after.oon we arrived in the rain
And the view back over the Medina
Having brought a Winky Jacket Boots needed a beer but settled for coffee in one of the many bars that lined the East outside wall of the medina
Donkeys and Horses are very much used as a form of transport in Ashilah.  As wondered on we came across the old market, an amazing  place selling local fresh produce. For the first time in my life I was asked if I wanted to smoke Hash. Completely taken a back, left thinking am I dressing a little to Hippie style
Walking back we decided a snack may be a good idea to see us through an afternoon around the pool.
The Annakhil looked inviting with a couple of other tables already lunching. No Menus ! Waiter suggested Prawns and calamari - good heathy choice lunch.
Back at the hotel, sun shining,  just warm enough to enjoy a beer
Or two on a sun longer
Definitely not the busiest of afternoons
Is that a Christmas tree I can see
One last sun set
Inspiration paving for the garden at home,
Today's work drying in the evening sun
Must be our aging years that take us back to the same restaurant for a third night.
Tonight we are not offered the complimentary anchovies
Boots chooses the fried seafood
And I opt for a delicious swordfish Tagine.
Accompanied by a bottle and a half of white, or maybe 2 halves- only because they had run out of 75cl bottle
Maybe instead of the ancovies we were offered a dessert, we opted for the creme caramel.
As usual we visit the bank machine,  giving the liquor store a miss this evening.
Boots in his new windy coat crossing the Abbey Rd style crossing- not much traffic.
Just a horse and cart galloping up the wrong side of the road.
Messing time in winky coats.
